Never before has quoting contract manufactured parts been so easy,
or so efficient.
Submit a quote request (RFQ)
You can submit an RFQ online in minutes. Just fill in the appropriate
contact fields as well as quantities, delivery needs, etc. Then
upload whatever file format you have your drawings in to our site.
Or you can fax your drawings you 630-513-7645. We can read almost
any format you can send. When sending a fax, please set to fine
mode and remember that orange crayon doesn’t come through
well on a fax.
An internal RFQ is created
Your drawing is converted to an internal Assemble Connect, Inc. print
with a custom part number. If you have a BOM it is attached, or
one is created from the drawing. Any reference to the end customer
is removed. Appropriate release and annual quantities are determined
and the package is converted to a PDF file.
Manufacturing partners are selected
The technology and other requirements are put into our custom database
which automatically selects the best manufacturers for that job.
More than 150 categories are considered for inclusion. Manufacturing
plants are rated on their responsiveness, quality, delivery, and
pricing to insure we continually keep the best facilities to do
your work.
The quotes are processed
The manufacturing plants quote each job to Assemble Connect, Inc.
They forward all questions to our engineering team who either answers
them immediately or consolidates questions for the end customer.
The perfect fit is selected
After all of the quotes are returned, an Assemble Connect, Inc. sales
associate reviews all of the details. Quotes are evaluated on price,
certifications, tooling charges, locations, and other special requirements.
The prefect fit, which is sometimes more than one plant, is selected
for the customer.
The customer is quoted
A single quote is given to the customer. The pricing, minimum releases,
and other charges are clearly defined. If there is a need for JIT
or other supply chain management needs, those are included.
The order is placed
Our company was founded and is run by experts in distribution. Our
custom designed system allows easy tracking of every order and
early warning if there is a danger of missing a promised date.
If parts are coming from multiple plants they are kitted or consolidated
as needed. If there is inventory to be held at Assemble Connect,
Inc. those quantities are set up in the system. If parts are being
brought in from overseas, logistic arrangements are made.
The customer is happy
This may sound cliché, but it is the basis of our business.
We win over 80% of our quotes (2004 audit). We retain our customers
and impress new ones. Our vision statement is simple. “Service
the customer first and everything else will follow.” We base
everything we do on making our customers happy.
